Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban-nar
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (al-Baqarah 2:201)
Dua is worship, and the best dua matches the words of the Quran and the authentic guidance of the Prophet ﷺ: concise words that gather the good of this world and the Hereafter.
These duas include asking for well-being and relief from distress, seeking refuge from worry, grief, weakness and laziness, and asking for steadfastness in religion and a good ending.
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban-nar
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (al-Baqarah 2:201)
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from weakness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men.
Ya muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbi ‘ala dinik
O Turner of hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni
O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and You love to forgive, so forgive me.
